Rangers want Frank Lampard to replace Aston Villa-bound Steven Gerrard?

Rangers are considering appointing former Chelsea and Derby County boss Frank Lampard as their new manager, according to The Times. It has been reported that the Gers have Lampard on their shortlist as a potential replacement for Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard is reportedly a managerial candidate for the Villa job. The Premier League club are keen on bringing the former Liverpool midfielder to Ibrox to replace Dean Smith, who was sacked last weekend.

Lampard is a managerial candidate for Norwich City as well. The Canaries have already held talks with the former England international midfielder. However, the report has claimed that the temptation to work at Rangers could be too much for Lampard.
