Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri does not believe the club needs Brazilian international Diego.
The former Chelsea manager says the Werder Bremen midfielder would not fit into his 4-4-2 system.
Reports have long linked Diego with a move to the Old Lady and there have also been talks between the player’s agent and Juventus officials.
“Diego is a great talent, but he is a trequartista,†Ranieri explained.
“We would have to change our system to fit him in and one of our wingers would have to be benched.
“In the end I would rather stick with the men that we have, even if we need some back-up.â€Â
