Inter boss Claudio Ranieri admits he would like Thiago Motta to remain at Giuseppe Meazza, among reports linking the Brazilian with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The experienced midfielder has less than six months left on his contract and he is expected to leave the club after the talks over a new deal broke down.
The player himself expressed his desire to leave the Neroazzurri, but Inter boss Claudio Ranieri is still hoping Motta will stay at Inter.
The Brazilian is eager to join Paris Saint-Germain, but the Saints have yet to agree a transfer fee with the Italian giants.
“I want Motta to stay, but I am sure that other considerations have to be made,” Ranieri said a news conference prior to the game against Lecce.
“There are only a few days left for the end of the transfer window, we will see.”
Having been considered a key player for both Jose Mourinho and Rafa Benitez, Motta is upset at losing his starting berth under Claudio Ranieri and it is only a matter of time before he leaves the Neroazzurri.
The Brazilian made just 10 Serie A appearances this season, but still managed to register three goals.
