Marcus Rashford has left Manchester United to join Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season, and according to the Guardian, there is very little chance for the England international to ever represent his boyhood club competitively again, with his relationship with his boyhood club described as “near irreparable”.
The 27-year-old forward is therefore set to leave United again in the summer, whether on another loan or on permanent basis, remains to be seen.
Rashford has apparently fallen out not only with United boss Ruben Amorim, but also with the club hierarchy, and even if Amorim should leave Old Trafford at some point over the next months, he’ll still be set for a future elsewhere. His contract runs until 2028 and the 20-time English champions will be in a position to demand a significant fee for his services, but their need to sell will probably affect the situation the other way, at last to an extent.
In all competitions, Rashford made a total of 426 appearances for United, scoring 138 goals and contributing 63 assists. Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs to have expressed an interest in his services this winter.
