Rasmus Elm linked with Bundesliga switch

CSKA Moscow midfielder Rasmus Elm could be the subject of a January bid from Werder Bremen, reports Izvestia.

The Swedish footballer has less than a year left on his deal in Russia, and it looks as though he won’t be signing a contract extension.

As a result, Werder Bremen aim to take advantage of the situation and they are readying a €3 million bid for the January transfer window.

CSKA Moscow seem ready to offload the 26-year-old midfielder having recruited Roman Eremenko and Bibras Natcho this summer, and chances are they will seriously consider all offers in the winter.

Rasmus Elm arrived at the club from AZ Alkmaar two years ago and has since managed 5 goals in 47 league appearances.

The Sweden international, who is currently out with gastroenteritis, will find it hard to return to the side with both Eremenko and Natcho largely impressing during the past few weeks.
