Rasmus Elm set for CSKA Moscow move

Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm is set to complete his move to CSKA Moscow, according to Voetbal International.

The Dutch newspaper recently reported that the player was looking to leave AZ Alkmaar in search of a new challenge and they now claim that the highly rated midfielder is on the verge of joining CSKA Moscow.

The Russian Premier League club have agreed a transfer fee with the Dutch Eredivisie club thought to be just over €6 million and the deal will be made official once the player completes a medical in Moscow.

The 24-year-old will join his former club teammate and fellow Sweden international Pontus Wernbloom, who made a switch from AZ Alkmaar to CSKA Moscow in January.

Rasmus Elm is widely regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in European football with a great eye for goal, having netted 18 times in 83 Eredivisie appearances for AZ Alkmaar.
