Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm is looking to leave AZ Alkmaar this summer, Voetbal International has revealed.
The 24-year-old is one of the most sought-after players in Europe and he has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
The player has just one year left on his deal at AFAS Stadion and he has rejected a new contract offer from the Dutch Eredivisie club.
Elm has expressed his desire to leave the club this summer, and AZ have no choice but to cash in on him, so as to avoid losing him on free.
Rubin Kazan and CSKA Moscow have also been showing interest in the highly rated midfielder, but they are not ready to match AZ’s €9 million valuation.
Rasmus Elm has been in scintillating form last season, scoring 10 goals and producing 8 assists in 32 Eredivisie games, while he started two of three group games for Sweden at the 2012 European Championship.
