Raul: I will return to Real

Schalke forward Raul has revealed plans to return to Real Madrid after his playing career comes to an end.

The 33-year-old striker has proved to be an instant hit at Schalke after arriving from Real last summer, but the Spaniard says he plans to return to Madrid when his playing days are over.

“When I finish my football career, I will return to Madrid to work for Real,” Raul told La Stampa.

“Until then, I won’t think about it.”

The Spaniard also said that Jose Mourinho hadn’t been the reason for his departure from Santiago Bernabeu.

“I decided to leave, not Jose Mourinho. He wanted me to stay.”
