(GSM) – Schalke 04 is close to making a suprise move: they are set to sign Real Madrid legend Raul.
Bild reports the veteran striker has already agreed personal terms with Die Konigsblauen.
The 33 year-old forward has agreed to a two-year deal with Schalke worth €5 million-a-season.
Former Real teammate Christopher Metzelder, who will aso be part of Schalke’s squad next season, informed Raul about Schalke’s interest.
The deal was first proposed three weeks ago at a local Madrid restaurant, where Raul’s agent, Gines Carvajal, met with Schalke coach Felix Magath and other club officials.
