Schalke veteran Raul hopes that Spanish giants Real Madrid will win the Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey this season.

The 34-year-old forward made over 500 official appearances for the La Liga leaders before leaving for Bundesliga outfit Schalke for the 2010/11 season, and still has warm feelings for the club where he rose to prominence.

“I want Real Madrid to win it all in 2011/12. The Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey,” Raul told AS.

“I think they can win the Champions League. Why not? There are two favourites in my opinion. Barcelona and Real Madrid.”

“I watch all their games and Jose Mourinho’s work is paying off. The squad hasn’t changed much, but they’re making steps forward. They have become more competitive and sit top of the league table.”

Real Madrid hold a five-point lead over Barcelona in La Liga standings, while the nine-time European Cup winners face CSKA Moscow in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Schalke sit just three points from the summit of the Bundesliga table, with Raul having scored 13 goals from 26 appearances in all competitions.
