RB Leipzig and Benfica are interested in signing Leicester City youngster Sidnei Tavares in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. Tavares is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season, and although the former Premier League champions are keen on securing the services of the 19-year-old midfielder, they will have to fend off interest from Bundesliga club Leipzig and Portuguese giants Benfica.
Tavares has been on the books of Leicester since he was nine years of age and signed his professional contract with the Premier League club in 2019. According to WhoScored, the Portuguese teenager has made one start and one substitute appearance in the league and played 10 minutes in the Europa League for the Foxes this season.
It will be interesting to see if Leicester are able to convince Tavares to sign a new deal and commit his future at the King Power Stadium.
