According to Kicker, RB Leipzig have joined Bayern Munich in the race to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea. The 18 year old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge on loan, but it appears as if the German clubs would be more interested in something permanent. Bayern have reportedly made a second bid already that is believed to be in excess of £20 million, but Leipzig wouldn’t be willing to go down without a fight.
Maurizio Sarri seems to be interested in Hudson-Odoi as a future star for the Blues, but the question remains as to whether or not the youngster himself sees things differently. After all, many English stars have managed to find success for themselves abroad as of late.
Hudson-Odoi made his professional debut for Chelsea last year after initially joining their youth setup way back in 2007, and on top of that, he’s also made a handful of appearances for England at the youth level.
