Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig are weighing up January bid for Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard, according to Bild.
The 21-year-old moved to Germany some 18 months ago as he joined the Swabians from Lille, and he has enjoyed an excellent start with his new club.
After helping Stuttgart return to the elite division, Pavard started 11 Bundesliga fixtures this term, impressing at the back and also scoring one goal.
Pavard was rewarded for his fine form with first ever France call-up and has now learned that RB Leipzig are hot on his trail.
The Bundesliga high-flyers could soon see French starlet Dayot Upamecano leave for greener pastures and they seem to believe that his compatriot would be an excellent replacement.
Pavard usually operates as a centre-back, but he can also play at right-back and in the middle of the park.
