Bundesliga hot-shots RB Leipzig have entered the race to sign the 17-year-old Tottenham talent Reo Griffiths, ESPN has learned.
Spurs striker is described as one of the most promising talents within the club’s academy and has been recommended by former chief scout Paul Mitchell who’s been recently appointed Head of Recruitment and Development at RB Leipzig.
Mitchell is said to have identified the ‘new Harry Kane’ as one of the first players he wants to bring over to Germany and is likely to attempt to push through a deal to sign Griffiths during the summer transfer window.
Griffiths has enjoyed a prolific run in the Tottenham youth ranks, having scored 21 goals for Spurs’ Under-18 this season.
Germany has become a popular destination for young English talents such as Ademola Lookman, Jadon Sancho, Reese Oxford, and Kaylen Hinds who all left their clubs in search for regular first team football and it should not come as too big of a surprise to see Griffiths follow suit.
