RB Leipzig to extend Smith Rowe’s loan?

According to a recent report from Kicker, RB Leipzig are interested in extending the loan deal of Emile Smith Rowe until the end of the 2019/20 season. The intention was for the youngster to get some real game time with the German side, but a series of injuries have ensured that he has played just one minute of football in the league so far this season. At the age of just 18 he’d certainly still have plenty of time to grow and eventually break into Arsenal’s first team on a more consistent basis, but the big question is still whether or not Unai Emery wants to bring him back during the summer in order to give him more of an extended chance next season.

Whatever the case may be it feels like securing an extended loan deal isn’t going to be the most simple of tasks for Leipzig, who are currently situated in third place in the table.
