German high-flying side RB Leipzig claim they have no worries regarding the future of their first-team star Timo Werner despite increasing speculation linking the German international with a move to Real Madrid.
According to the reports brought by Diario AS, the Champions League winners are keen on the 21-year-old striker who is seen as a replacement for Alvaro Morata and possible upgrade on under-fire Karim Benzema.
Real Madrid are thought to have scouted Werner on a number of occasions during last season, whereas the Los Blancos emissaries were following the striker during Germany’s 6-0 victory over Norway.
Despite the rumours flying around their star striker, the Bundesliga club are ‘totally relaxed’ as they make their debut in the Champions League against AS Monaco tonight. The Red Bulls are standing at 10/11 to beat the French champions at their UCL debut.
Werner scored 21 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season, while he has already found the net three times in as many games this season.
