Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos wants to test his club now against Barcelona in La Liga, rather than wait until December 10.
The Bernabeu-based giants are a point above last season’s champions in the league following a positive start to the campaign.
Jose Mourinho’s men have scored 19 goals in their last five games in all competitions, and Ramos feels they would be comfortable playing their Clasico rivals in their moment of stellar form.
“We are doing well and our football is on the right track. Now would be a good time to face Barcelona,” Ramos told the Partido de las 12 programme on Cadena Cope.
“We are seeing the best from all of our players and the coach is getting the maximum level out of us.”
“You can see that the team is very happy, but we have to maintain humility.”
Madrid are second in the league behind surprise leaders Levante.
Mourinho’s men are in action next against Real Sociedad on Saturday in La Liga, while Barcelona play Mallorca at Camp Nou.
