Real agree deal for Danilo
Spanish daily newspaper Marca has revealed that Real Madrid have agreed to sign Brazilian defender Danilo from FC Porto.
Los Blancos reportedly had a €20 million proposal accepted, allowing them to secure the first signing ahead of the new season.
Danilo was also on the radar of Barcelona, Juventus and few other top sides, but Real Madrid were the first club to make their interest concrete.
FC Porto initially requested €40 million for their prized possession, but were forced to lower the asking price due to the fact the player’s contract was due to expire in June 2016.
Danilo, 23, is expected to provide competition for Daniel Carvajal on the right flank at Santiago Bernabeu, meaning that Alvaro Arbeloa is likely to leave at the end of the season.
The FC Porto hotshot has started five friendly matches for Brazil since Carlos Dunga took over the reigns and is expected to keep his place in the side.
Atletico and Spurs vying for Lavezzi
Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are locked in the battle for Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, Le 10 Sport can reveal.
The Argentine forward has decided to leave Parc des Princes in the summer having been told he will not be offered an extension on the contract that expires in just over a year.
PSG are also happy to cash in on the 29-year-old, who is still held in high regard by Europe’s top sides.
According to Le 10 Sport, Atletico Madrid lead the chase for the forward’s signature, while Tottenham Horspur have joined the race as well.
Lavezzi also has a long list of suitors in Italy’s top flight, where Inter Milan, Juventus and former club Napoli are keen.
After missing a chance to beat Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 stage clash at Parc des Princes, PSG can be backed at 2/1 to qualify for the next stage.
Juventus eyeing Andre-Pierre Gignac
Italian champions Juventus are readying bid for Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac, according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri are prepared to listen to offers for Fernando Llorente, who is being linked with a La Liga return, while Alessandro Matri is highly unlikely to remain in Turin beyond the current season.
As a result, Juventus aim to recruit at least one high-profile striker in the summer and Marseille’s Andre-Pierre Gignac appears to be high on their hit-list.
Namely, the Frenchman will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, and his reported €3 million wage demands are well within the club’s price range.
Gignac has already proved his worth at the biggest stage, bagging 31 goals in last two Ligue 1 campaigns, and he has some Champions League experience as well.
The France international is, therefore, seen as a perfect replacement for Fernando Llorente, whose spell in Turin seems to be drawing to a close.
