Real agree deal for Lucas Silva
Spanish giants Real Madrid have finally wrapped up a deal for Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva, according to Marca.
Even if the official announcement is yet to be made, the two clubs have reportedly agreed on a €14 million transfer fee.
Real Madrid appear to have won the race for one of Brazil’s hottest prospects, who has just help Cruzeiro lift the league title.
He arrives at Santiago Bernabeu to increase competition for places in the centre of the park, with Asier Illarramendi heavily linked with a January exit.
The 21-year-old has so far amassed 58 league appearances for the Brazilian giants, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Silva has done enough to earn a lucrative move to one of world’s most famous clubs and it is now up to him to try and nail down a regular starting berth.
Douglas Costa talks up Chelsea switch
Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa has all but confirmed that Chelsea are interested in his services.
The Blues have reportedly tabled an official bid for the player’s services as they look to improve their options in the final third.
The 24-year-old is clearly aware of the interest from Stamford Bridge and is hoping to transfer will materialise at the earliest opportunity.
“It would be a dream to play for Chelsea,” Costa told O Globo. “It’s a unique chance. I will try to negotiate.”
Douglas Costa can cover a number of positions in across attack and as such seems a very good addition to the squad at Stamford Bridge.
The highly rated footballer, who has a contract until June 2018 in Donetsk, has so far managed 35 goals and 38 assists in 186 league outings for Shakhtar.
M’Vila linked with Premiership move
French daily newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M’Vila could be moving to English Premier League this January.
The same source has learned that Inter have decided to cut short his loan deal, but the Frenchman is unlikely to be returning to Russia any time soon.
According to L’Equipe, M’Vila has a long list of admirers in English Premier League, with relegation strugglers West Bromwich and QPR reportedly leading the chase.
The 24-year-old arrived at Inter on a season-long loan from Rubin Kazan, but he only made eight league appearances for the Nerazzurri this season.
M’Vila does not appear to be in the first team plans of new coach Roberto Mancini and it looks as though he has already played his last game for the club.
A move to English Premier League seems on the cards for the player who has seen his career take a turn for the worse ever since he left Rennes.
