The situation of Matteo Guendouzi at Arsenal is being closely watched by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Leicester City, according to French outlet Le10Sport.
The midfielder has been in the spotlight a lot recently, and not all the reasons for it have been encouraging. He was accused of provoking Brighton and Hove Albion forward Neal Maupay throughout the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to the Seagulls on Saturday, in which Maupay ended up scoring the winning goal for his team. After the final whistle, Guendouzi approached him from behind grabbed him by the throat, and Maupay afterwards said that one particular Arsenal player needed to learn humility.
Guendouzi was also called out for poor behaviour at a winter training camp in Dubai, and there have been reports that head coach Mikel Arteta has started losing patience with the 21-year-old.
Le10Sport claim Real coach Zinedine Zidane likes Guendouzi very much, which is why the 13-time European champions are now keeping their ears open to any potential noise coming from north London that would suggest Arsenal are willing to sell, with Barcelona and Leicester interested as well.
