Spanish media outlet Columna Cero has learned that Real Betis are hot on the trail of Borussia Dortmund stopper Marc Bartra.
The Spaniard lost his place in the side under new boss Peter Stoger and he has been told he will be allowed to leave.
A return to Spain should be on the cards for the La Masia graduate, with Real Betis now emerging as favourites for his signature.
According to reports in Spain, los Verdiblancos have submitted an official proposal for Bartra and they hope to wrap up the deal in the coming days.
The 27-year-old made a total of 31 Bundesliga appearances after joining from Barcelona, scoring 2 goals in the process.
