Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo understands that Real Betis are readying summer bid for AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore.
With Joel Campbell and Dorlan Pabon both set to return to their respective clubs at the end of the current campaign, los Verdiblancos are desperate for attacking reinforcements.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis are lining up a summer move for United States international Jozy Altidore.
The 23-year-old has already spent some time in Spain, playing for Villarreal and Xerez, but it was only after joining AZ Alkmaar that his career finally kicked off.
Altidore, who began his career at New York Red Bulls, has clocked up 67 Eredivisie appearances for the Dutch club and scored no less than 38 goals in the process.
AZ Alkmaar have already secured the signing of Australian striker Eli Babalj for the upcoming season, which is enough to suggest they would consider selling Altidore if the price is right.
