El Confidencial has learned that Real Madrid are weighing up a late bid for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.
Los Blancos plan to sign a new striker and a replacement for Xabi Alonso before the Sunday’s transfer deadline with club officials working around the clock.
According to El Confidencial, los Blancos are hot on the trail of Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo.
The Spain international is currently sidelined through injury, but he is looking to leave Etihad after failing behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic in the pecking order.
It is believed that the Citizens would consider his sale and Real Madrid reportedly plan to start the bidding at €20 million.
Alvaro Negredo, 29, only joined Manchester City from Sevilla last summer, but he hasn’t quite managed to impress in his first season at the club, scoring mere 9 goals in 32 Premier League appearances, albeit bagging 14 goals in other competitions.
