Real to bid for Iturbe
Real Madrid are set to open talks with Hellas Verona over Argentine forward Juan Manuel Iturbe, reports Sky Italia.
The Gialloblu yesterday announced that they had turned the player’s loan deal into permanent move for €15 million, but it appears the youngster will not be staying at Bentegodi for much longer.
Namely, the Serie A side plan to earn a healthy profit on the Argentine in the summer transfer window and they hope to receive between €25m and €30m for the highly rated attacker.
Following an impressive debut season in Italy’s top flight, Juan Manuel Iturbe will have no shortage of offers this summer, but Sky Italia understands Real Madrid have moved to pole position.
Los Blancos plan to start negotiations with Verona in the coming days as Carlo Ancelotti is eager to lure the Argentine to Santiago Bernabeu at the earliest opportunity.
Juan Manuel Iturbe has yet to earn his first Argentina cap, having missed out on Alejandro Sabella’s World Cup squad, who are 2/5 to win their opening game against Bosnia.
Corchia finally set to join Lille
Sochaux full-back Sebastien Corchia is expected to join Lille in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.
Les Dogues wrapped up the deal for the highly rated defender back in January, but the transfer fell through as the National Directorate of Management Control refused to approve the contract.
Corchia, therefore, remained with les Lionceaux and enjoyed a very good campaign on personal level, but could not help Sochaux escape the drop.
L’Equipe has learned that the proposed move to Lille is back on, with the player agreeing personal terms with les Dogues.
The two clubs have yet to agree on the transfer fee, but with the defender’s contract due to expire in just over a year, Sochaux officials are aware this is the final opportunity to cash in on their starlet.
Corchia was used as a right winger following the arrival of Herve Renard and his attacking qualities are one of the reasons why Lille are keen on his services.
Monaco agree deal for Mozambican defender
Radio Monte Carlo has learned that Monaco are set to complete a deal to sign Mozambican defender Edson Andre Sitoe ‘Mexer’ from Portuguese Nacional.
With Ricardo Carvlaho and Eric Abidal in the late stage of their careers, the French giants are looking to add some fresh blood to their back line.
And while they have been linked with several high-profile centre-backs, the latest reports suggest they are set to sign Nacional stopper Mexer instead.
According to Radio Monte Carlo, Monaco have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old, while they are expected to meet Nacional’s €3 million asking price.
Mexer arrived in Portugal from Deportivo Maputo, joining Sporting Lisbon in 2010, but he left the Lions without making a single senior appearance for the club.
He has kick-started his career at Nacional, making a total of 57 league appearances and scoring 2 goals, while earning 11 Mozambique caps.
