Spanish daily newspaper Marca understands that Champions League holders Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Villarreal hotshot Luciano Vietto.
Los Blancos have been impressed with the Argentine forward, who recently shone for the Yellow Submarine in the 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu and they have been offered a chance to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
Vietto has a €20 million release clause in his deal at El Madrigal and his official representative hinted the 21-year-old was interested in a big club move.
According to Marca, Real Madrid officials are seriously considering a summer move for the talented forward due to the fact that they lack cover for starting striker Karim Benzema.
With Jese Rodriguez set to be loaned out in the summer and Javier Hernandez highly unlikely to remain beyond the current season, the Argentine could be a useful signing.
Vietto has largely impressed since joining Villarreal from Estudiantes last summer, notching 18 goals in 37 competitive appearances.
