Real could turn their attention to Fulham star

Talk Sport are today reporting that Fulham midfielder Moussa Dembele has admitted that his agent has had contact from Real Madrid.

Real have made Luka Modric their main transfer target this summer but as the window enters its final stages the move for the Tottenham man is getting more and more unlikely.

This could mean they turn their attention to Dembele, who joined from AZ Alkmaar three years ago.

The Belgium international has impressed in his time in the English Premier League and has stated that the La Liga club have declared an interest in him.

He said: “There was contact between Real and my agent. They wanted information, but that was it”

Jose Mourinho is said to be an admirer of the Fulham man and believes that he may be the final key to success again this season.

The Cottagers will be used to the speculation over Dembele’s future as he has been linked with a move away from the club on a number of occasions.

Martin Jol will of course fight tooth and nail to keep of his star men in his squad. However, when the likes of Real Madrid declare their interest in a player, they are difficult to stop.

It may all depend on the Modric saga, but is certainly a story to keep an eye on.
