Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a January bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, the Mail Online understands.
The Uruguay international was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in the close season, with the Spanish capital his preferred destination.
However, the Real chief has confirmed that the La Liga giants will not be signing any players in January, having spent £150m in the recently closed transfer window on the likes of Gareth Bale, Asier Illarramendi and Isco.
Only Arsenal made an official approach for Suarez during the summer, and both of their bids for the striker were rejected out of hand.
The 27 year old has now completed the ten game suspension he received for biting Chelsea defender Branslav Ivanovic in the 2-2 draw on Merseyside back in April, and looks set to play in the Capital One Cup third round tie against Manchester United on Wednesday evening.
