Real Madrid are expected to make a bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in the coming weeks, according to The Telegraph.
Hazard has been linked with a move to the Champions League holders for a long time now, but he has so far refused to reveal a decision on the matter, constantly hinting that playing for Real would be a dream come true but he could also end his career at Chelsea.
The Belgian has recently been criticized by manager Maurizio Sarri, who called him a great player, but not a leader. It can be argued that Sarri isn’t getting the best out of his star man because he is being played out of position, as a ‘false nine’ as opposed to his preferred spot on the left flank. That should now change with Chelsea having secured the services of Gonzalo Higuain for the rest of the season, but it looks as if Hazard’s time in London is coming to an end. The club cannot afford to risk the winger entering the last year of his contract, so they may be forced to do business this summer.
