Spanish daily newspaper Marca understands that Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Liverpool youngster Pedro Chirivella.

The 17-year-old Spaniard joined the Reds from Valencia last season and has since developed into one of club’s hottest prospects.

Chirivella has been training with the senior squad on regular basis and has already earned comparisons with Xabi Alonso, while it is only a matter of time before he makes his first appearance for Liverpool.

The Spain Under-17 international is predicted a bright future in the game and he has already caught the eye of Real Madrid scouts.

Los Blancos coaching staff will have a perfect opportunity to make a check on their target when Liverpool and Real Madrid Under-19 sides square off in UEFA Youth League next month.

Chirivella has earned rave reviews for his performances since joining the Liverpool academy and he seems ready for a step up to first team football.

Juventus keen on Serie A trio

Serie A holders Juventus are closely monitoring the progress of Italian starlets Roberto Soriano, Daniele Baselli and Davide Zappacosta, Tuttosport can reveal.

The Bianconeri officials always have one eye on the future and sporting director Fabio Paratici is keeping close tabs on the said footballers.

He managed to see all three of them in action at the weekend and chances are at least one of them will be joining Juventus at the end of the season.

Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano is also followed by Valencia, and he has already shown a great deal of promise playing for the Bluecerchiati.

Meanwhile, Juventus are believed to be in pole position to sign Atalanta playmaker Daniele Baselli, whom they see as a perfect long-term replacement for Andrea Pirlo.

His teammate Davide Zappacosta is also on their radar, with the right-back returning to the club after spending three years on loan at Avellino.

Roma eager to tie down De Sanctis

Rai Sport is reporting that AS Roma officials are desperate to keep hold of veteran goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis.

The 37-year-old has had a major role to play in helping the Giallorossi patch up the leaky defence, but he currently has less than a year left on his deal.

And even though De Sanctis is believed to be planning to retire at the end of the season, Roma management hope to persuade him to stay on for another year.

The Giallorossi are set to open the talks with the keeper’s representatives over a one-year extension, and there is plenty of time for them to succeed in their quest.

Morgan De Sanctis joined Roma from Napoli last summer and has since kept impressive 25 clean sheets in 43 competitive matches.

After winning their first three fixtures of the new campaign, AS Roma can be backed at 9/4 to lift the Serie A title.
