The Metro understands that Liverpool face a battle to keep hold of Raheem Sterling, with Real Madrid linked with a move for the youngster.
The teenager is yet to pen a long term deal with the Merseyside club, something the European Champions are only too aware of.
Sterling is currently on just £30,000 per week despite establishing himself as a first team regular under Brendan Rodgers.
Since breaking into the Reds’ first team, he has racked up eighty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring fifteen goals while he was named the club’s Young Player of the Year last season.
Internationally, he has been capped nine times for England with three of those appearances coming at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
Liverpool, who are currently sitting in eleventh place in the Premier League after two wins and three defeats from their opening five games, host local rivals Everton on Saturday and are priced at 17/20 for the win.
