Real Madrid are believed to be pursuing a deal to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. The 19-year-old is seen as the missing piece of the puzzle for the midfield trio that is expected to carry the torch once Luka Modric and Toni Kroos follow Casemiro through the exit door, following the arrivals of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.
However, many other clubs around Europe are said to be willing to go into that race and making plans of their own for the signing of Bellingham. One of those is Liverpool, and according to Madrid-based radio Cadena SER, at Real they are fearful that the England international may actually prefer to go to Anfield, rather than the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real are confident of their relationship with Dortmund and have every faith that the Bundesliga club would sell to them if any potential bid coming from the Premier League is matched. But at this point, they feel that convincing the player himself will prove the tricky part, with Liverpool’s project under Jurgen Klopp, as well as the prospect of returning to England, considered to be significant factors in Bellingham’s thinking.
