Real get first choice on Bale

The Sunday Mirror are today reporting that should Gareth Bale choose to leave Tottenham, or they are willing to sell him, then Real Madrid will begiven first choice to sign the winger.

The La Liga giants of course signed Luka Modric in the latter stages of this summer’s transfer window and the two clubs are now said  to have a strong relationship.

Bale recently signed a new contract at White Hart Lane but Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the Welshman.

It is thought that should the 23-year-old chose to move to the Spanish Giants, then Spurs would have a choice of players to come in the other direction.

£45 million is what the English Premier League side value one of their prized assets at and Real will get the first choice to splash the cash on him.

Bale is likely to want out of the club if they fail to secure Champions League football again this year.

Meanwhile, Bale’s opposite winger Aaron Lennon has committed his future to Tottenham, by signing a new deal which keeps him in North London until 2016.

Lennon will be hoping for a good season after missing the majority of the last campaign through injury.
