Spanish daily newspaper AS has learned that Real Madrid are readying a summer swoop for Bayern Munich star David Alaba.
Having reportedly secured the signature of FC Porto full-back Danilo, los Blancos are turning their attention towards the Austria international.
Persuading Bayern Munich to let one of their star players leave will be no easy task, but after Toni Kroos left the Bavarians to join Real Madrid, los Merengues officials believe Alaba might do the same.
The full-back, who can successfully operate in midfield as well, has a contract until June 2018 at Alianz Arena, and it remains to be seen whether he will be interested in leaving Bayern.
Alaba, 22, is the product of club’s impressive youth academy and he has already made 104 Bundesliga appearances, lifting three titles in the process.
The youngster also has plenty of Champions League experience, having featured in 42 games in Europe’s elite competition.
