Real Madrid are showing interest in Sporting Lisbon hotshot William Carvalho, according to Spanish radio Cadena Cope.

Los Blancos look set to offload both Lucas Silva and Asier Illarramendi and have made the Portuguese footballer their number one target.

Carvalho will not be coming on the cheap through, with his release clause standing at €45 million at the moment.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the last couple of years, that is ever since he returned from a loan spell at Cercle Brugge.

Carvalho has since made 59 league appearances for Sporting, scoring 5 goals, while also earning 13 Portugal caps.

The talented footballer also represented the Selecao at the Under-21 UEFA Championship, where he was named the best player even with Portugal losing in the final to Sweden.

Sociedad receive two offers for Vela

Radio Marca has suggested that Real Sociedad have received two official proposals for star player Carlos Vela.

The Mexican has enjoyed another thoroughly impressive campaign at Anoeta, with top European clubs lining up for his signature.

According to Radio Marca, both Wolfsburg and West Ham submitted big money bids for the Mexican over the last few days, but these were swiftly rejected.

Real Sociedad have no intention of selling their prized asset and are, therefore, referring all interested sides to his €30 million release clause.

What is more, the forward himself has finally found peace in San Sebastian and he does not want to leave La Real in spite of the lucrative offers from abroad.

Vela, who bagged 39 goals in 101 La Liga appearances for Real Sociedad, will be one of the players to watch at the 2015 Gold Cup, where Mexico are 3/2 to lift the coveted title.

Monaco agree deal for Cavaleiro

Radio Monte Carlo has learned that Monaco are set to wrap up the deal for Benfica forward Ivan Cavaleiro.

The two sides have been negotiating a transfer for a couple of weeks now, and the latest reports suggest the Eagles have accepted a €15 million proposal from Stade Louis II.

All that’s left is for the player to be persuaded to join, with a five-year contract waiting on his signature.

Ivan Cavaleiro is, therefore, set to become the second Benfica starlet to join Monaco after failing to leave his mark on Estadio da Luz, with Bernardo Silva having arrived last summer.

The 21-year-old only made eight league appearances for the Eagles before moving on loan to Deportivo La Coruna, where he got to play on regular basis.

Cavaleiro made no fewer than 34 La Liga appearances for the Riazor outfit, scoring three goals in the process.
