Real Madrid are looking at possible ways to spend as little money as possible in the transfer market this summer, according to AS.
There should be some notable departures from the Santiago Bernabeu – forwards Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez, midfielder James Rodriguez and striker Mariano Diaz are all expected to leave the club as they don’t fit in with Zinedine Zidane’s plans for next season.
However, the places potentially vacated in that way wouldn’t be filled through new signings, but rather through bringing several player currently out on loan back into the fold. There would, perhaps, be one big transfer on the cards, and that would apparently be Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund. Los Blancos have long been chasing Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, but they’ve accepted that the French sensation is at the moment out of their reach and shelved that project for 12 months.
Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard (temporarily at Real Sociedad), Dani Ceballos (Arsenal), Tafekusa Kubo (RCD Mallorca) and Achraf Hakimi (Borussia Dortmund) are all expected to return to the Spanish capital. The club may also try to bring in a defensive midfielder to provide cover for Casemiro.
