Real Madrid welcome fierce rivals Atletico Madrid to the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals tonight, and are favourites to come out on top with home advantage. It’s the fourth El Derbi madrileñ in the competition in the last four seasons and the fire power of Real could see them get one over Los Rojiblancos this evening.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid side are unbeaten in the Champions League this season, having won seven and drawn three of their 10 games so far. Los Blancos come into tonight’s encounter off the back of consecutive wins, eight goals scored, which will give them confidence of besting an Atleti side who have been inconsistent of late.
As for the visitors, Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid have lost just once in the Champions League this season, boasting seven wins and two draws for their troubles.
