Real Madrid & Barcelona battle over Martinez

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are both gearing up to go to war over the signing of Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.

The popular forward has been a name on the lips of many top European clubs over the course of the last few months, and with both clubs in question aiming to prioritise a new striker during the summer transfer window, now seems like as good of a time as any of them to put forward their intentions.

While there are still a few months of the season left to go, it’s going to be an incredibly busy summer with many international tournaments that are bound to get in the way. While Martinez’s role in Argentina’s Olympic Games hopes are yet unspecified, Barca and Real are both aware of the fact that there’s going to be a small window of opportunity here.
