Real Madrid close in on Dutch ace Huntelaar

L’Equipe reported this morning that Klass-Jan Huntelaar was close to a move to Real Madrid. The Dutch centre forward, who had another amazing season in the Erendivisie has attracted the interest of many top European clubs including Manchester United and Juventus.

But, Huntelaar’s agent revealed to an Italian radio station that Real Madrid were close to concluding a deal for Huntelaar: “We are close to signing. The negotiations have been under way for some time and they should soon end positively.”

L’Equipe also thinks that any deal that will be struck will cost the Madrid outfit at least 20 million euros. But, that value could increase should Huntelaar have a good Euro 2008 as nothing is likely to be concluded before Holland finish their campaign.
