Portuguese daily newspaper Record understands that Real Madrid are set to agree a deal for FC Porto stopper Felipe Augusto de Almeida Monteiro.
Los Blancos will offload veteran defender Pepe at the end of the season and they want the Brazilian to replace him in the squad.
According to reports, Real Madrid have all but agreed a deal to sign Felipe Monteiro from FC Porto, with only minor details left to be sorted.
The 27-year-old is, therefore, set for back to back transfers to top European clubs having first joined FC Porto from Corinthians last summer.
And having impressed in his debut season in Portugal, Felipe appears to have secured a lucrative move to Old Trafford, where he will replace his compatriot Pepe, who long ago switched his allegiance to Portugal.
Felipe made 24 league appearances this season, scoring 2 goals, while also netting once in ten Champions League outings.
