Real Madrid could pursue Werner

According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign Timo Werner this summer.

The belief is that Chelsea are outright offering the European champions the opportunity to sign the German following a disappointing stay for him at Stamford Bridge thus far.

Werner just hasn’t been able to hit the ground running and even though he’s enjoyed a handful of positive moments since heading to the English capital, it hasn’t quite been enough to convince the masses that he has what it takes to be a sustained star in the Premier League.

A change of pace with a new direction abroad could be exactly what he needs, and it’s definitely worth noting that Madrid were previously interested in Werner before he jumped ship to the Blues.

Whatever ends up happening with this potential deal, it’s certainly hard to imagine Werner staying where he is.
