Real Madrid defender David Alaba has returned to action, while Ferland Mendy needs a couple of days more.
The French left-back will probably miss the Espanyol clash this weekend, but he could be back in time to face Liverpool in the second leg of their Champions League duel in the round of 16. Los Blancos will enter it with a three-goal advantage, having won the first leg at Anfield by 2-5, the game in which Alaba picked up his hamstring problem.
Mendy, who hasn’t played since late January due to a muscle problem, will certainly be back for El Clasico four days later.
