Chelsea have placed a huge price tag on goalkeeper Thibaur Courtois in attempt to deter interest from Real Madrid, according to Daily Star.
The La Liga giants could move for the Blues’ shot stopper should they once again fail in their attempts to land Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, who himself has been strongly linked with a return to the Spanish capital having, like Courtois, played for Real’s neigbours Atletico Madrid.
The Belgium international spent three years on loan with Atleti prior to breaking into Chelsea’s first team and with them won the league, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League before playing in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in 2014.
He has racked up sixty-five appearances in all competitions for Chelsea and helped them win both the Premier League and the League Cup under Jose Mourinho last season.
