Real Madrid eye Dean Huijsen

Real Madrid are interested in signing Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Madrid are looking for a new centre-back in the middle of the season, and that Los Blancos have been hugely impressed with Huijsen.

Huijsen joined Bournemouth from Juventus in the summer of 2024. The Spain Under-21 international central defender has been one of the best players for the Cherries this season. The youngster has found the back of the net twice in eight starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played once in the Carabao Cup this campaign.

Madrid, who want to sign William Saliba from Arsenal in the summer of 2025, are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 40 points from 18 matches, a point behind leaders and city rivals Atletico Madrid. Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently find themselves seventh in the Premier League table with 30 points from 19 games, five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
