Spanish media outlet AS has come to knowledge that Champions League holders Real Madrid have set their sights on AS Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy.
The highly-rated full-back has been one of many AS Monaco player to pop up to prominence this season, alarming the host of European big-name players along the way.
Los Blancos are keen to add fresh talent to their defensive department this summer and are believed to have identified Mendy as one of the top targets. With Pepe due to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and with captain Sergio Ramos not getting any younger, Los Blancos want to make a long-term investment.
Real Madrid face a big challenge however in their attempts to land the quality AS Monaco defender, who is also eyed by both Manchester United and City.
The 22-year-old Benjamin Mendy has been valued at £30 million, even though AS Monaco could demand a significantly higher fee for their starlet as they are in no rush to sell.
