Sky Italia understands that Real Madrid are hot on the trail of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer.
The highly rated footballer is currently on loan at Borussia M’gladbach, and he is widely tipped to leave for greener pastures at the end of the season.
After making Germany’s World Cup squad, the 23-year-old has nailed down a regular starting berth in the national team, catching the eye of Europe’s top sides in the process.
And with Sami Khedira still being linked with a move away from the club, Real Madrid appear to be readying a €15 million offer for the Germany international.
Borussia M’gladbach hope to turn Kramer’s loan deal into permanent move, but Bayer Leverkusen are adamant they have yet to receive an official proposal for their prized asset.
The youngster surprisingly started the 2014 World Cup final against Argentina, only to be later substituted after suffering a concussion, and he admits he has no recollection of the game at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
