Champions League holders Real Madrid are reportedly keeping close tabs on FC Porto stopper Felipe Augusto de Almeida Monteiro, according to O Jogo.
Los Blancos have plans to rejuvenate their back line as neither Pepe nor Sergio Ramos is getting any younger, and they have been showing interest in the Brazilian centre-back.
Real Madrid officials have already spoken to Felipe’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci on several occasions and they are expected to step up their efforts in the coming months.
It would appear as though los Blancos will come forward with an official proposal during the summer transfer window to offset the potential departure of Pepe at the end of the season.
Felipe only joined FC Porto last summer from Corinthians, but he has quickly adapted to European football, making 23 league appearances and scoring 2 goals in the process.
The Brazilian has impressed in club’s Champions League campaign, netting once in nine outings.
