Real Madrid eyeing Jose Gaya
Real Madrid are considering a summer bid for Valencia full-back Jose Gaya, Cadena COPE can reveal.
Los Blancos have decided to allow Fabio Coentrao to leave Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season and have already lined up his replacement.
According to the latest reports, Real Madrid aim to make a move on Valencia defender Jose Gaya, who is already regarded a first team regular at Mestalla.
Los Blancos have been impressed with the youngster’s performances and plan to recruit him in the summer to provide competition for Marcelo.
Valencia chiefs will obviously give their best to keep hold of their prized asset, but the problem is that the player’s €18 million release clause is well within Real’s price range.
Jose Gaya, 19, made a total of 19 La Liga appearances this season, and in turn managed 1 goal and 3 assists, while picking up 6 yellow cards.
Liverpool keen on Dortmund flop
Sport Bild is reporting that Liverpool are among clubs showing interest in Hannover midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt.
Borussia Dortmund decided to cash in on the youngster in the summer of 2013 as he failed to make the desired impact, but they included a buy-back clause that will be active at the end of the current campaign.
Depending on the number of performances Bittencourt makes this term, the amount can be anywhere from €3m to €6m, and it remains to be seen whether the Millionaires will exercise the option.
Meanwhile, Premier League giants Liverpool are casting admiring glances towards the 21-year-old midfielder as they could stay without both Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva at the end of the season.
Leonardo Bittencourt has managed to kick-start his career at Hannover, making 47 Bundesliga outings and scoring 5 goals.
Everything suggests that the midfielder will not be staying with the 96ers for much longer, and he could be leaving Germany altogether.
West Brom to sign McManaman
Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion are set to wrap up the deal for Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman, according to BBC Sport.
The Baggies initially had a £4 million bid rejected for the talented forward, but the Latics reportedly decided to accept the £4.75 million proposal that ensued.
As a result, the 23-year-old will undergo a medical in West Bromwich and should be officially unveiled by the end of the day.
New Baggies boss Tony Pulis was keen to add McManaman to his squad at the Hawthorns, as he believes the explosive winger can prove a real asset in the Premier League survival fight.
The former Everton youngster has been in fine form this season, netting 5 times in 23 Championship matches.
West Bromwich currently sit three points above the relegation zone in the overall standings and can be backed at 1/6 not to get relegated.
