Champions League holders Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Borussia Dortmund starlet Julian Weigl, according to AS.
Los Blancos could soon have a one-year transfer ban confirmed by FIFA, and they are set to make one final attempt to reinforce their squad before that happens.
AS claims that Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl has emerged as their top target, and the player is reportedly keen on moving to Santiago Bernabeu.
However, chances are that the Millionaires will not be too keen on selling their prized asset having already seen the likes of Mats Hummels, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ilkay Gundogan leave for greener pastures this summer.
Julian Weigl has slotted effortlessly into the Borussia Dortmund starting line-up and he was one of team’s star performers last season.
The 20-year-old made 30 Bundesliga appearances last term, while also representing Germany at the Euro 2016 finals, albeit watching all six games from the bench.
