Real Madrid have been linked with a shock move for Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy, according to the Metro.
The England international is in superb form for the Foxes this season and at the weekend became only the eighth player in the division’s history to score in seven consecutive Premier League games.
He is also the first player to reach double figures in England’s top flight so far this season and is four strikes ahead of Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and Georginio Wijnaldum.
The twenty-eight year old, who was playing non-league football for Fleetwood Town three-and-a-half years but is now a regular in Roy Hodgson’s England squads and has a strong chance of participating in next summer’s European Championships in France.
The La Liga giants are keen to bring in another forward to compete with Karim Benzema who himself has seven goals to his name so far this season.
