Spanish daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Real Madrid are readying summer swoop for Manchester City star Yaya Toure.
Having fallen out with Pep Guardiola during his time at Camp Nou, the Ivorian is almost certain to leave the Etihad now that the Catalan coach has been chosen to replace Manuel Pellegrini.
Toure’s agent Dimitry Seluk has all but confirmed that his client will be leaving Man City, and it would appear as though a return to La Liga is on the cards.
Namely, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the 32-year-old footballer and he will attempt to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
And even though the Ivorian has a deal until June 2017 at Etihad, Manchester City are unlikely to stand in his way as his high wage is proving a major burden on the club’s budget.
